What's up

Hit 28 weeks pregnant this past weekend, and my poor feet are starting to swell after sitting for 12 hours at work. I come home and put them up and drift to sleep most nights.

Jack's closet is slowly starting to fill up. If I see something I like, I clearly buy it.

The weather in So Cal has still been beautiful and hot!! Thankful for friends with pools!

Mexican food in my backyard with the sun shining. Pretty much perfection.

Lastly, time with my sister. Definitely the highlight of my week!!

Somehow I am working 9 days in a row, hoping I survive even though I am feeling a tad burnt out already! The bad part is getting bored and shopping on etsy... I sure love getting packages so that part is awesome!

27 Weeks

How far along:  27 weeks

Baby size:  Cauliflower

Baby's progress:  Weighing about 2 lbs now.  He is sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing his little eyes, and possibly sucking his thumb.

Weight gain:  ahhh I think seriously about 15 lbs

Stretch marks: no thank gosh.

Sleep: some nights are better than others. Still getting charley horses in the middle of the night about twice a week and they hurt like hell!!

Gender: little man!

Movement: lots! I feel him thru out the whole day now which is pretty awesome.

Best moment this week:  Still loving the nights where we lay in bed and hubs gets to just fall asleep to feeling Jack move

Looking forward to: our 3D appt in 3 weeks

Food cravings: carbs, carbs and carbs. ugh!

Weirdest food I ate this week: Nothing weird..

Anything making you queasy or sick:  no thank gosh!

What I miss: my regular clothes. Moscato. Working out like I used to.

Workouts: Still walking a mile at the local park on days off. Hoping to get to prenatal yoga this Saturday.

Things that suck: feet are starting to swell after sitting for 12 hours at work and my back is sore

Things that don't suck: knowing I have our little man baking, I can't wait to see what he looks like. Well actually I can haha, lots to do before then. 90 days...

Happening's

Hope everyone had a good weekend! I worked the past 3 days so I am enjoying today off!!

The latest with me...

I got the whooping cough shot on Wednesday, 5 days later I'm still hurting! This doesn't show the swelling that really is there.

Donuts. I couldn't say no. (don't worry, I only ate like 30% of that cinnamon roll)

The husband leased a new truck.. hope he doesn't expect me to ever lift Jack into it!

These pants!! Le sigh

Happy Monday!

Las Vegassss

I will start by saying I don't think that Vegas is the ideal place for pregnant women but I made the best of it and the short trip made it okay.

We were in no rush to get there on Friday so we slowly made our way there, stopped for lunch and a lime-aid from Sonic, and arrived in Vegas close to 5pm. I have always wanted to stop at the Las Vegas sign so that was our first stop.

We then strolled the Miracle Mile Shops and had dinner and strolled Freemont Street.

Saturday we had the most amazing breakfast at a total dive restaurant downtown. I am LOVING french toast right now. We made our way to the private pool at the Golden Nugget and spent our day catching the sun and laying in the pool. I was thankful it wasn't very busy.

We had dinner on the 24th floor over looking downtown, dinner was delicious and then headed towards Planet Hollywood for Britney Spears.

The line to get into the theater was sooooo long, and she literally started at 9 on the dot so we missed the first song. She obviously didn't sing live, but did have 8 or so outfit changes and put on a decent show regardless.

We hit the road early Sunday but not before getting Dunkin Donuts. That place is amaze balls!!

Until next time...

It's a ....

I know some of you follow me on Instagram but here is the official announcement..

We are so excited to meet our little man in December. At times I have felt this pregnancy going slowly, and other times the weeks seem to be passing quickly. I am 26 weeks now, and before you know it week 30 will be here.

I honestly thought and maybe hoped it was a girl, I got way to caught up in all the myths and old wives tales and didn't even have boy on the radar. To say I was surprised at the ultrasound is a total understatement. Took me a few days to get on the boy train and now I am so excited to have a little mini of my husband. I have been filling his closet and imagining the cute fo-hawks ill be styling in his hair.  I know some people aren't that honest with their feelings but I say it like it is. I think its normal for women to want a little girl of their own and I was on that train. I wanted to name a little girl after my mom that passed and lets face it, girls clothes are so cute.

To say that Jack is going to be a well dressed kid is pretty accurate :)

Friiiiiiday

Friday has found us once again. I am in the car on my way to Vegas as you read this. Pregnant and Vegas... not sure how I feel about this quite yet. I bought tickets to Britney Spears 7+ months ago before I was pregnant. Going to make the best of it...

Let's rewind to Labor Day. Some of you know I was born in Canada, my parents were best friends with a family that had 3 boys and we spent most summers with them at Shuswap lake. The son my age came into California with his fiance and we hosted them for the night. We took them for Mexican food, swimming at a friends, then BBQ'd that night. Such a great day.
How I wish they lived closer, we just loved our time with them! We need to get to Canada stat!

They headed out on Tuesday for Vegas and I hit the park to walk it out.  (25.5 weeks)

This was also our 2 year anniversary so we spent the evening at dinner and really enjoyed our time together.
2 years down, 50+ to go! I am so thankful for him.

As of late

Hope ya'll had a better weekend than I did, I was stuck working Friday thru Sunday. 12.5 hour shifts are rough, add being pregnant and the shift seems never ending. I feel like I talk to so many dumb people during the day I just literally run out of patience for anything else.

Last week I had the fun glucose test... I had a pretty hard time getting it down. I am not one that can even finish a soda solo so drinking this in less than 5 minutes was hard.  Praying I pass because I have been all over sweets lately!

Up next, our babes crib is set up and looking oh so pretty.

Evenings with these 2, there is no where else I would rather be!

To end the working weekend, my poor feet started to swell. I hope my face stays normal!!
