I hope you all had a great weekend! We didn't do anything too exciting but I did go to a sleepover on Saturday night... I still don't know how I feel about the sleepover thing, I sure got a lot of crap for it from other friends. The evening was fun, we had appetizers, dinner, drinks, played games, watched movies, went to bed. Then in the morning she made breakfast and we went our separate ways. It was good to get together with the girls, I just don't know if the sleeping in sleeping bags was necessary... but whatever.

The bf and I decided we spend WAY too much money on going out to eat... Example: we went to eat with my friend on Thursday and that was $60 and then we went with other friends on Friday night and that was $40. $100 just gone over eating out twice. Makes me mad thinking about it. We decided we will only eat at one restaurant once a week, but on the weekends we can still go to our cheaper places, like taco places, or fish n chips. I hope we really stick to it.

Annoyed

So the final step to me being officially hired is my background investigator talking to my current boss and reviewing my employee file. He has been trying since Monday to get ahold of someone in HR but they aren't getting back to him. He called me yesterday saying they are being uncooperative and he needed me to talk to them. I guess I put some pressure on them because finally they called him back today and he just came in to see them. I have no idea what he really asked but he was here a good 15 minutes. Hopefully this is really the end of it all and I can finally sign official hire papers. I am annoyed they wouldn't call him back when I gave them more than a 3 week notice. Makes me want to take a week off!

Anywayssssssssssss

Tonight we are having dinner with my old friend (who I call my brother although were not blood) He is expecting a daughter with his girlfriend in May and I have never met the gf so I want to get to know her so I can be a part of the babies life and it be a more comfortable thing for everyone.

Curls and Blogging

I bought this new curling iron from Target, its called You Curl by Conair and I really like it!! And it was only $30!! Really easy to use and only took about 15 minutes to do.

I had a great time celebrating with our friends on Friday, if I have time I will upload some pictures tonight and blog tomorrow.

On another note, I was reading my girl Cassie's blog and came across another blog called Keep Calm & Carry On. I liked her blog and I left a comment telling her hello and that I just found her blog. She emailed me and very quickly we both discovered we had a lot in common. We both lost our moms in our early teen years, and both lost an aunt to cancer after that. I really LOVE blogging and meeting people that share a similar journey. I just want to say thanks to all of you who comment and make an effort to have a blogship/friendship with me. Love you girls!

Ready to Celebrate

Tonight we are going to one of my favorite restaurants to celebrate my new job!

I think were will be about 10 of us, although I think that's too many because I feel bad when I cant talk to everyone. Hoping to go to a miniature golf place afterwards. Some of you call that putt-putt :)

I just realized I havent posted any pictures of myself/anything (besides frappy) in forever so I really need to take pictues tonight!!

Last night we rented, The Social Network. Have any of you girls seen it? I thought it was good, really interesting. Pretty much shows you how it all happened which was neat because I love me some facebook :)

Its incredible to think he is worth $25 Billion dollars.... blows my mind. I definitely recommend watching it!

We made a chicken ceasar salad for dinner and also skyped with the kiddos. I miss them so much. Couple more weeks....

I am still waiting for "that" phone call... driving me NUTS!!

I figure since yesterday was a holiday he may be busy today but I am calling him tomorrow if he doesn't call by then... I can't take it any longer!!

Who watched the Bachelor? I can't believe Michelle is still there. When will he see the light?? And the first part of the date with Emily was hard to watch, she was struggling for sure... Until next week...

This is my 100th post!

I rarely blog on Sundays but since I'm off work tomorrow I decided I had time to blog tonight!

This weekend flew by so I'm thankful for one more day. Thanks MLK!

Today I helped my friend Kim put together some cubby thing for her daughters room, she's due in May...

It was easy to do and a fun project for us, here it is...

Last night on the drive home, I had such a great view!

The have the best garlic sauce dip!! mmm!!

We just had a relaxing night in, me and the boys.

Tonight we are off for Mexican food with some friends. Looking forward to this 3 day weekend!!

For my phone to ring....

My background investigator is supposed to call me this week to let me know about officially being hired and I am dying waiting for him to call. I don't think he will call until tomorrow or Thursday but I am ready for him to call now!!

Ouch!!

I got stung by a bee yesterday and it hurt!! Right on the tip of my finger too!!

I was having lunch with two girlfriends outside at a cafe, and when I reached for my jacket I obviously didn't see the bee and put my finger right on it! I couldn't believe the pain that stinger gave me. Not cool. My finger is still sore today.

Besides that, I had a good weekend. The boy was gone snowboarding so I just saw friends and laid low at the house with Frappy.

Yesterday was my dads birthday and I took him out for Fish & Chips last night. I wish I would have taken a picture of us :(

Just looking at that picture makes me hungry for more...

So ready for the weekend! My visit yesterday went well, he didn't even come in the house, I guess he was just confirming I lived there?? Anyways, I think the whole process is finally coming to an end and I should know next week if the job is mine.

While in the shower this morning, I realized I have lots of choices... And by that I mean...

5 choices to be exact :)

I love the Redken blonde but for some reason I like to add others to the mix. Any of you do this?

Operation Clean House

Today my background investigator is coming by my place to "check it out" and make sure its an acceptable place to live. At least that's the only thing that make sense. I think they want to make sure you don't have any roommates you are hiding and making sure you really live where you told them you did. I don't think he should be there more than 2 minutes...

But last night we cleaned like crazy and finally put all the Christmas stuff away. It feels so good to have the house back in order.

I came into work again at 6:30am and its catching up to me. I am tired!

Its almost Friday!!

It's a New Year

Hello friends!! I can't believe I haven't blogged in almost a week!!

Last Friday morning I had my appointment for my psych evaluation for the Sheriffs department as its one of the requirements when going thru background. The test was INTENSE!! The test had nearly 1,000 questions! 800 true/false, 200 choose this or that, then about 30 fill in the blanks, and an essay. It took 4 hours and it was so mentally draining I spent the afternoon in bed! When I left the office of where I took it, I had no idea how I did. I had to wait all weekend to find out!! Not cool!!

Later that night we went to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants! It was so delicious!! Its like a Benihana where they cook all the food in front of you. I am already ready to go back!!

We called it an early night and watched the ball drop on TV. It was kinda nice just staying in!

The rest of the weekend was really low key, it rained and the rain kept me inside.

The good news, is that I passed my pysch!! I am so close to getting the job! I have to do medical this week and then that's pretty much it!
