Popping In

Long time no blog...
Been working but nothing too exciting to post about. Last night our King's came back to tie the series and we couldn't be happier!!

Husband installed a tank less water heater over the weekend with his friends, I am so impressed by how handy he is! A week of no laundry was rough but we are back in business.

At work last week we had a raffle to raise money for a fellow Dispatcher who was just diagnosed with stage 4 Colon cancer. We raised $900!! I also won some goodies!

Did anyone see these at your local Starbucks? Glass Tumbler.. Love!!

Is it Friday yet??

Easter Fun

Easter is always more fun when little ones are around! Thankfully my sister and her kiddos were in town to spend Easter as a family.  We started the weekend by hitting the park. The kids had so much fun following my sisters dog around the park that the playground didn't exist.

That night we had tacos, my husband makes some bomb diggity ones! It was so nice to have my entire family together and just kicking it at my house.

Saturday consisted of lunch, a tattoo shop ( no, not me), a nap, and dinner at this cool place called Pizza Rev.

Sunday, we had an Easter egg hunt at my house for the kids. They were stoked on their $4 a piece in random eggs.

We spent the afternoon letting the kids splash at my friends pool and the kids had a blast.

Hope you all had a great Easter!

Wine Trail

After a quick 4 hours of sleep, we awoke and got ready for a day of celebrating a friends 30th on Sunday. I thought I would be more tired, but after a Vanilla Latte I was feeling much better. We all met at the train station before the birthday girl arrived for the big surprise.
It was my first time riding a train, and a quick 25 minutes later we were at our destination, Santa Barbara. I have been to SB many of times, but never knew how many great wineries there were!

After walking for brunch, the journey began.

This was by far my favorite spot, and the best Moscato of the day.

Walking to our next spot

Such a great group of girlfriends

A definite must if you live near Santa Barbara!

5 things Friday

Dreading tonight as it's my first dawn shift in forever. 7pm to 0730am. Barf.
I just pray I can sleep during the day. Bought some melatonin today.

One... Training class on a day off. I survived.

Two.. Obsessed with my new Origami Owl studs

Three... Anyone try this before?

Four... A new journal to jot the thoughts I don't share

Five... More cute bags. I have a problem.

Start to my Frappy Wall

I am so excited that my little office is finally coming along! We found the perfect furniture pieces, now to just get the walls decorated!

On one of the walls I hope to find a couple more signs and frames to make a small gallery wall with mostly Frappy/dog pictures. Trying to not go too crazy as this will eventually be a nursery (no I'm not pregnant).

This is the very beginning of the wall. I chose to have Frappy with our date printed on a 8 x 10 canvas from Easy Canvas Prints. The website is so easy to navigate, once you pick a picture it tells you if the quality is good, and bam you're done.

Loving everything about this canvas, I couldn't have asked for better quality. Came boxed with no chance of it being damaged.
The website has 2 great deals going on right now, 50% off any canvas with free shipping, or BOGO, shop here.

I think I also need this sign although my husband would disagree..
Happy Tuesday Friends!

Vegas Baby

After a quick 48 hour trip to Vegas, we're backkk.
We left at 8am Friday morning, it only took 4.5 hours to get there. This trip I wanted to knock out a few things I have always wanted to do in LV. We usually are in a group so this was nice just us two to hit some spots up solo.

Up first, Peppermill. I have loved and followed Holly Madison (Hef's ex) for years, remember seeing this restaurant on her show and we finally got to check it out.

We then hit the Miracle Mile shops since it was gloomy out. I also wanted to try a drink from Sugar Factory but $17 dollars later, I wasn't too impressed.

After catching an hour nap, we headed to dinner at Rao's. Best service and a delicious Italian dinner. We stopped for a drink at Fizz which was a cool lounge.

Off to see Absinthe we went. Definitely a twisted, inappropriate show wrapped with amazing acrobat acts. Husband thought it was funny, I'm still confused how I felt.

Next door was Serendipity, so we had to stop in for some Frozen Hot Chocolate. Sadly I was not impressed. At least now I know..

Called it a night since hubs was doing Spartan Saturday morning...
I slept in until 9, showered and headed for Starbucks. I thankfully reserved a chair at the private pool at Golden Nugget, for $20, so worth it.
It was a beautiful day, had a great spot at the pool, and made a friend (her husband was at the run too) and we people watched and chatted all day.

This was the view from our room, the pool was at the top right.

We had dinner with the husband's Uncle at Hank's Steakhouse and called it a night so we could hit the road early.

Awesome Shark Tank, with the water slide going thru the shark tank. Yes we went on it.

Until next time..

Wednesday's Happening's

After enjoying 3 days off, I am back to work for a shift and a half before another 3 day weekend. #Score

I worked Friday & Saturday and went to a friends daughter's 3rd birthday party on Sunday. I have been working from 3pm to 3:30am so sleeping during the day has been rough and I feel like a zombie. (Hence the no blogging)
This is my current problem... too much light

My Etsy shirt came, fits perfect.

Went to a King's game last night with a girlfriend, too bad they didn't win!

Lastly, how cute is this new blog charm by Origami Owl??

Happy Hump day friends.
