Attempts

So Jack is due this Sunday but I have been trying to get him out the last few days.

First attempt was a shady Asian foot massage. We have a bunch of massage places around town that you never really know how legit they are, but I made my husband take me on Tuesday night and it was AMAZING. Clearly didn't work but I would so go back. $16 for 20 minutes. Heaven.

Up next was doing the dirty which was also unsuccessful.
Last night we went walking and even though my stomach felt tight the entire time, nothing came from that.

Yesterday, a girlfriend drove me to Studio City to eat at Caioti Pizza Cafe where they are known for a salad that helps induce labor. (It's the dressing)
The salad and pizza were both delish, now waiting to see if it helps...

It's called the THE salad... pretty basic but very tasty. They have a chalk board in the restaurant where they keep track of the babies born after eating the salad. Regardless, it was a fun little road trip.

Happy Friday!

Waiting Game

39 weeks pregnant as of yesterday so the end is near! I still feel pretty good, I have enjoyed lunch dates with girlfriends the past week and finished my Christmas shopping. I see the doctor tomorrow and we'll see if there is any progress. I am ready for him any time after my hair appointment tomorrow :)

I stole an idea from a friend of buying Jack a new Christmas book each year and writing in it so this is the one I picked since we are in California.

His stocking came from Pottery Barn and I just love it.

Thank you bags for our future nurses are ready (Starbucks card and candy inside)

Loving this ornament a friend picked up for us (don't worry, Frappy has other ornaments on the tree)

Off to put my feet up!

1st Friendsgiving

Happy Monday!

Yesterday I hit 37 weeks in my pregnancy. Where oh where has the time gone...
I see the doctor this morning so we will see if there is any update as of yet. Yesterday I felt like I had pretty consistent contractions/braxton hicks all day. I will probably do one more bump date post next week and then hopefully the little man will make his debut.

Saturday I took the majority of the day off of work to hang with the husband and attend our 1st Friendsgiving with our close group of friends. The food was so delicious and the company was just as great.

Can't wait to do it all over again on Thursday eve!

Eat up!

Just wanted to share this delicious, easy dinner we had last night thanks to Pinterest!

Throw everything in a pot and that's it!

You will need...

1 lb spaghetti
Sliced mushrooms
2 zucchinis diced up
2/3 cup peas
2 cloves garlic
salt/pepper
1/3 cup grated Parmesan
1/4 cup heavy cream

In a large stockpot or Dutch oven over medium high heat, combine spaghetti, mushrooms, zucchini, peas, garlic, and 4 1/2 cups water; season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, until pasta is cooked through and liquid has reduced, about 8-10 minutes. Stir in Parmesan and heavy cream.
Serve immediately.

Enjoy!

Catch Up

Halloween was spent with my sister and her kids which was extra special as they don't live nearby and the first time we got to trick or treat with them in a few years.

Thursday was spent eating French toast, then to the Four Seasons Spa for a maternity massage (heaven) and a King's game with my husband. Pretty perfect day.

Dropped off the thank you's to the hostesses from my shower. Can't go wrong with Starbucks gift cards!

Jack's room currently... Hot mess.

Ended the weekend walking with my girlfriends for a Mary Kay 5k, (Let's be real, I only walked half because it was bloody hot and I was over it)

Happy Hump Day!

35 Weeks

{Picture is obviously from a week ago}

How far along: 35 Weeks

Total Weight Gain: Around 23 pounds & it's killing my back.

Clothes: Running out of options.

Gender: Boy!

Movement: Still feel him plenty thru out the day and night. Love when I can feel his little foot.

Sleep: I am up 2-4 times a night and usually stuck awake around 6am

Cravings: Nothing extreme but just some things sound better than others. Currently wanting Thai food.

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks, swollen feet, and back pain. I had a maternity massage last week that was amazing but the back pain is back in full force.

Looking forward to: Feeling ready. I am not at that stage yet. Not sure I will ever be. I think marking all of the items off my to-do list will help. Also wouldn't be sad if he came a few weeks early even though that makes no sense.

Best moments: Getting his room ready, finally going to start his laundry today, love pushing on my belly and he pushes back.

We are SUPER close to finishing his room.  We are hitting a few stores tonight to get things that weren't bought from the registry, and waiting to hear that the glider is in.

Jack's Shower

Jack and I had the most amazing baby shower this past Sunday.
Three girlfriends put on the best afternoon for us and everything was perfect.
We chatted, lunched, and gifts. The time and effort put into the details were seen by everyone.

I will let the pictures do the talking.

We received lots of gifts and I can't wait to start washing his outfits and get them put away. 6 weeks give or take to go!

Missing in Action

I have had a trainee at work the last 3 weeks so I am unable to get on the Internet while having her, hence the no blogging. Welp.
Any who, just wanted to pop in and wish you all a Happy Halloween!

We did our maternity shots this past Monday eve and I am so excited to see how they turn out in a few weeks! (I check my email non stop hoping they are there haha)

Here is one we took on our cell phone just to have early.

I am so excited for next year as we will have a little man to dress up!

Friiiiday

Well it's Friday... but I am working the next 3 days. Womp womp.
Thankfully my hours will be a little lightened which will hopefully not leave me completely exhausted by Sunday night.

I have received some pretty sweet gifts recently and wanted to share them!

Alison sent me a package for baby Jack including this beanie her mom made! Love!!

Leigh also sent me a package! Love my Canadian blog friends!

Yesterday I had lunch with two girlfriends that work in a nearby department at our agency and they SPOILED the heck out of me & Jack!!

I am still fighting this cold so I did lots of laying around the past 2 days. Boring but I know its needed.

Lastly, Jack's sign is ready to be hung in the nursery. Thankful for my crafty husband!

Enjoy your weekend!

Weekend Off

I failed at taking many pictures this weekend but I did enjoy my 3 days off and of course they flew by.
Friday was low key, ran a few errands, lunch with a friend, home to rest, and dinner with friends.

Saturday I worked 3 hours, then we were off to see our little man in 3D/4D. He wasn't very active but was still amazing to see him. He eventually gave us the finger and rolled over and the show was over.

Saturday evening we had dinner to celebrate a friends birthday and then I called it a night as I was starting to feel under the weather and knew I had a long day ahead of me on Sunday.

Sunday I was up early and headed south to spend the day with my sister. We got manicures, lunch, and hit a ton of stores. Even though it was a tiring day, it was worth it.

Now to kick this cold and survive my long work week...

Thursday already?

Where did the week go??

I am not complaining as I am off this weekend (well except for 3 lovely hours on Saturday).

I feel like I only have baby related topics these days, but honestly that's what is consuming my days and thoughts. Will be 32 weeks this weekend, hoping he comes around 37-38 weeks. I am tired of the heartburn, the back pain, and running on tired 24-7. No one told me I would be this tired before he ever got here..

Any who, I have been thinking non stop about french toast so my dad and I had breakfast on Tuesday morning and it was fantastic!

We also finally got our stroller picked out. Not that we had many options as the Britax didn't convert with many others but we got one that I really like (and I think most are ugly and too big)

I love that this little guy can find the sun anywhere. Loves to warm his bones.

Lastly, the latest bump picture from the King's game on Tuesday night. Was fun to have a night out with the hubs and the boys won. Win Win in my book!
