Yee Haw

I was so tired from this weekend that I didn't even blog yesterday about my amazing weekend!

Lets start with Saturday, 3 girlfriends and myself traveled to Anaheim to see not one, but four country artists!

Kacey Musgraves, Eli Young band, Eric Church, and Kenny Chesney. Doesn't get much better than that!
I particularly liked Kacey and Eli Young!
It started at 5 and ended about 11! Talk about getting your money's worth!

Loved this tank I got on Etsy!!! Get one here!

Monday's Off

Working weekends definetly blows... but when it means you have Monday/Tuesday off, it ends up not that bad!! I love doing errands while the rest (well most) of the world is working.

There is nothing better than starting the day being lazy with my Frap. We just take our time getting out of bed and eventually make our way out of the house.

Going to the nail salon and being the only customer there, is amazing!! I literally felt like I was close to heaven for that hour. Manicure/Pedicure, massage chair, quiet time.... nothing better.

I am on week 2 of my couch to 5k. It's still not something I love, but I am hoping it gets better as I really want to accomplish this.

Date nights with my husband at this awesome wine bar. Ive explained it before, but its like wine tasting, you put money on a card and go to town with the different wine's they offer.

Looking forward to this weekend as I have 2 fun concerts to attend!!

Are you the winner?

Surprisingly, only 6 of you entered for the cell phone case giveaway, but that just made their chances even better. I did it the old school way, names in a hat, a little toss, and picked a name.

I know most of you are happy its Friday, but I am hoping the weekend flies by since I am working the next 3 days. Can't wait for Monday so I can finally sleep in!!
I miss my Frap way too much on working days.

And lastly, my husband surprised me with new slippers! I wanted to be mad at the price tag, but they are soooo cute and he did throw my other ones away without asking. So I will just be thankful and enjoy them!

Do you Believe?

I am assuming most of you have seen the show, Long Island Medium. Every single time I watch, I usually bawl my eyes out and long to connect with my mom.
I did a local search for "Medium's" in my county, and found 2. The first one I called, I just didn't feel "good" about her/the situation. She proceeded to say, who is the young male stepping forward... ummm... ??!! no idea... so I said I would call her back (never).

I called the next one, she was very nice and had a lot of reviews and I decided to just go for it. I told my husband, who is a total skeptic, and off I went the following morning.

I am still trying to process everything that was said. I have only told 2 people about it. It was such a crazy experience, that I almost don't like talking about it. I haven't decided if it was legit. I want to believe so bad that it was. I have longed to have some sort of connection with my mom as it has been 14 years without her.

As I continue to absorb all that was said, I will definitely share my experience soon.

This is the necklace that my mom wore for years, I brought it with me the day of (in my pocket) and she (the medium) knew that I had it....

Couch to 5k...

Let's be real...
I am not a runner...I am not one to love the outdoors... I have been off the fitness wagon for way to long now.

Enter: the Color Run

And I am the team leader, this was my crazy idea! Ha

So I downloaded the Couch to 5k app on my iPhone, and yesterday was day 1.

Not gonna lie, it wasn't my favorite thing I did yesterday. But I really hope I can keep it up and actually do a 5k with my friends!

Now to catch up on the blog world!

Red, White, and Stripes

Hope you all had a great 4th of July with your friends & family.

We originally planned on going to Palm Springs, as we do every year, but after a hot trip to Vegas the weekend before, we decided to stay home for the 4th.

It was a very low key, quiet, and almost a tad lonely day. Felt weird to be home and not in 100 degree temps.

We hit Lowe's in the morning to buy some plants and rose bushes to spruce up the house.

I hit the street fair with some friends, bunch of random booths and I was questioning our decision to stay home this year.

Tonight, we saw no fireworks, just heard some booms from the bedroom window. I lied, I am actually watching the fireworks show on TV from NY.

I am forever grateful for the freedom we have, we are lucky to live in this country.

Vegas Baby

We are back home and enjoying the 30 degree cooler weather! Vegas was hitting temps of 116 while we were there, so hot!! I will definitely not do Vegas again in the summer. I am happy when its 80-85!

First day we hit the pool, then headed up to change and get ready for dinner. We chose to eat at The Chart House at the Golden Nugget, awesome food, great service. I LOVED my Shrimp Scampi!

After dinner we rode the roller coaster at NY NY.

This is what I wore...

Day 2 we had breakfast together as our group of 8, then headed to the pool. The best part of the pool at Monte Carlo is the Lazy River.

We shopped a little at the Miracle Mile Shops, then got ready for dinner before headed to see a show.

We saw the show KA at MGM, I had read such great reviews and we found a great price on tickets. The best part of the show was seeing the amazing stage move and the strength the performers had working with the moving stage. But it wasn't my favorite show... I even fell asleep... multiple times...
At the very end of the show, a performer fell from the top of the stage, some are saying she fell from her safety harness. She fell about 50 feet, and we later found out she died from her injuries. The show was stopped and we were given full refunds. I still can't believe that happened. I don't understand why there wasn't a safety net the entire show because we definitely saw it at times. So tragic.

Until next year...
