NYC, Part 1 of 2

We took a red eye from LAX to JFK Thursday night with about 10 of our friends. I was still not feeling well at this point so I was hoping to sleep on the plane. At one point I knew I was going to faint and sure enough I did. Got some orange juice and crackers and felt better after that.

We landed about 6:30am Friday morning, and it was cold!! Got a taxi and headed to Times Square. Unfortunately our room wasn't ready until we were leaving the hotel at 10:30 for the wedding. We all piled into taxi's and headed to the court house building. Pretty interesting how it works, but you literally grab a number and get in line to get married. There were hundreds of marriages that day.

We then had lunch and headed towards the 9-11 memorial site. This is a must do if you visit.

So incredible to see, yet still so sad. What an amazing thing they have built.
Here is one of the new towers.
Later that night, we boarded a boat cruise for dinner that the bride & groom treated everyone to.
The food was really good, the DJ really bad.
The best part of the night was stopping in front of the Statue of Liberty. GORGEOUS.
First Dance

That's it for day 1.
