Wedding Wednesday: Jewelry

I am not much of a jewelry person, only thing I wear on a daily basis is my engagement ring. I knew picking out things for the wedding would be tough, but I think I figured it out... mostly :)

Up first... the earrings....

But then I decided I liked this earrings better... so I bought these yesterday on Etsy

I also found these pearl bracelets for my flower girls on Etsy

Here is my niece trying on her dress, she is growing too fast!!

The begining of our House Hunting

Yesterday we put our first 2 offers on houses! Yes two!! We went on Saturday morning to check two places that just went on the market and we really liked both places. They are quiet different yet both have the feel that we want. I forgot to take pictures so here are some from the computer...

House 1

Nice front yard, new garage door, not much work would need to be done on the outside

Inside...

Not my favorite choice for cabinets but its do-able until we could change it. We love the openness of the room, especially since we love hosting our friends for dinner. We would need all new appliance's, we would rip out the carpet and get hard wood floors, and the bathrooms need some work.  Nice backyard too.

House 2

The front yard needs major work. New garage door is a must. and a new driveway. those planters and flowers need to go.

Inside...

The house is SO nice. Everything is newly remodeled and very nice. Wouldn't change much except eventually a new oven.

So now we wait... trying to not get excited because unfortunately there aren't that many houses for sale and there are investors that come and just buy them with cash. We should hear something by Thursday.

Anyone else have experience buying a foreclosure or short sale?



TGIF.... for ya'll!

It's my working weekend.... boooooo

I have a love/hate relationship with my job when it comes to shift work. It's hard working on the weekends when you miss out on things, but then its so nice having 3 day weekends every other week.

I took my dress to get altered on Wednesday, it was fun to wear the dress again and im excited to see it again in a few weeks when it will actually fit :)

My sister wrote out the shower invites, sooooo excited for that next month!

Spend yesterday working some overtime, met with the wedding caterer, caught up on the bachelorette, snuggled with my Frap and dinner at home with the fiance.

Wedding Wednesday: CAKE!

We picked a bakery for our wedding cake! We ended up doing tastings at 3 different places and had one more planned, but its really not needed at this point :)

I really wanted to go with the family owned bakery, they were SO nice and I just loved them. The cake was really good and so was the price. But we had always envisioned a Bread Basket cake... they are truly the BEST. 

So without further a do...

Raspberry Chocolate for the middle tier. OMG. so A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

We also sent out our invites this weekend and were delivered yesterday, can't wait to get the responses!

Today is my 1st dress fitting! So excited!

Gels & Wine

Wedding Wednesday

81 days!!

We addressed our wedding envelopes on Monday night and then I stuffed them yesterday, I meant to take better pictures so those will come next week. I am excited to mail them out on Friday and looking forward to getting the response cards back!

Another wedding down

My friend Kristen married her man on Saturday in Buellton, CA and we were so happy to be there!

It was a warm, slightly windy day but everything went really well! Her dog was her ring bearer and her adorable niece was the flower girl.

Wine-tastic!

Happy Friday ya'll!!

Although it is my working weekend, I have tomorrow off for a friends wedding. So excited to have the day off and see our friends tie the knot.

The other night we hit up a "wine cave" for the first time in our town for dinner and lots of wine.

This is how it works... you decide how much money you want to put on your "cave card", we started with $20 since we had no idea how much we'd drink. You put your card in the top, then see the 3 different red buttons? You press what size pour you want and then the prices are in white. Perfect if you wanna just try a 1 oz or if you want a 5 oz of your fav!

I am ALL about the Moscato!! I really liked the Rex-Goliath, on the hunt to buy some!

Wedding Wednesday

I am back with my weekly update on wedding stuff!!

88 days until the day!!

First up, I found my bridal shower dress from American Eagle. Frap in the background :)

Found these cute koozies online for our "bach" trip

Ordered this memory vase, it was way smaller than I thought it'd be :(

Got all the stamps for the out going mail next week :)

And lastly, we went cake tasting again today... the carrot cake was delish.
