So Cal Christmas

It is hard to believe that Christmas has come and gone! I feel like the month went by so fast and I didn't get to enjoy some aspects of it as much as I would have liked. I will enjoy my tree one last night and chuck it in the coming days. 

80 degrees in December? I am not complaining!!

After working on Christmas and the day after, Kyle and & I headed north to visit my sister and the kids for Christmas.  Was a quick trip but I think we fit in a lot in our 26 hours there.

Enjoyed our Sunday slowly waking up, getting car washes and picking up the house. Time to bring 2013 to a close...

Christmas Eve

Since the husband is off in Arizona, I will be having a quiet evening with my Frappy. 

I enjoyed my day off yesterday, knocked out about 10 errands and even managed to hit the mall. 

Then swung by to visit a friend and her cuties.

Starbucks always makes afternoons better.

Found out how all the bloggers were making these collages and gave it a shot. I may or may not have bought those EOS lip balms for my stocking...

And lastly, we are having an ornament making contest at work. Here is mine :)

Christmas Swap

Let's be honest, I haven't had the best luck with blog swaps before and my husband always gives me a hard time when I sign up for another because he thinks its not usually a fair trade. I gave it a go for a swap Kasey was hosting and hoped for the best!

Once we got our partners, Deena emailed me right away and the emailing between us was constant! I just had a good feeling about this swap! Deena and I found out we are very similar in style and liked most the same brands. To say our boxes were similar would be pretty spot on! 

I was SO excited seeing this pretty box on my door step!

And the awesomeness began!

Thank you Deena for being such an amazing swap partner! Maybe we should be permanent swap partners in the future?! ;)

I canno't belive Christmas is in a week!! I am so not ready!!

Time really needs to slow down a notch!!

 

Here in So Cal, the weather is out of control. Freezing, then windy, and now beautiful and 82!

Which leads to amazing sunsets.

 

What else is making me happy? Mail. Snail mail to be exact. And blog swaps. Can't wait to share on Friday!

 

I finally got the tree up and decorated. I am sad that most nights I work til 1130 and am not home enjoying the  view.

 

When I am home, I am enjoying my time with this cutie and the husband. See the cute birthday card hubs got?

 

Half way thru the week... I am off to do some Christmas shopping!

 



Dirty Thirty

On Sunday, we celebrated the husband's 30th birthday with 12 of our closest friends. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, rented a 15 person van, and hit the road to wine. 

First stop, Bridlewood. Had our first tasting and then had lunch on the back side of the property.

Stop #2, Carhartt. Cute place, didn't like the wine though.

And to end the day, dinner at the BEST steakhouse, Mastros.

This martini was BY FAR the BEST I have ever had. Must go back SOON! 

Sickness

 

Totally failed at blogging the last few days as I have been sick and pretty much laying in bed. I made it to work yesterday and today, but so ready for this 3 day weekend to hopefully get 100% better.

The sickness was floating around my center, and there was no hiding from it.

Thankfully my Frappy enjoys laying around!

 

Used my new mug after the husband brought me home hot chocolate and whip cream. Couldn't ask for a better night then home with the hubs and Frap.

 

We finally got our Christmas tree! I guess because I've been sick, I have just not been in the spirit like I should be. Tree is up, lights are on, no ornaments yet... Pretty Noble Fir though.

Last week we saw the very sexy & talented Justin Timberlake in LA. *Swoon*

Although on a Tuesday night at 9pm, I made an exception to stay up super late and rock the night away. He sure didn't disappoint!

Weekend Round up

 

It was one of those weekends that I didn't want to end. Two days off is really never enough.

 

Friday evening we had sushi with friends, hit Target for some shopping, and then found the perfect Duck Dynasty mat that needed to be delivered to a friends house. We turned the lights off on the car, I snuck up to the house, hid behind her car while the sensor light went off, then dropped the mat on the doorstep and ran to the car.

Shortly after she posted, "Whoever just dropped off the duck dynasty doormat-you made me happy, happy, happy. But it is also kind of creepy, creepy, creepy."

So I posted my picture shortly after. Fun times.

 

Saturday we enjoyed the day before heading down to the Staples Center to see the King's game.

 

 

Sunday, I had the joy of finding a surprise on my doorstep.

 

 

Followed by a pedicure with another friend, lunch and shopping with the hubs, and dinner at home.
