Itching....

for Thursday to be here! This work day is almost over and only have to get thru two more until we hit the road for Palm Springs. I didn't get a chance to post about this past weekend so here it goes... Friday and Saturday were pretty low key, I walked around downtown on Saturday afternoon with my friend Lauren and we grabbed a Starbucks and checked out the shops. I was wanting to buy something but nothing caught my eye... It was nice to visit with her though. Kyle and I hit up Party City to get decorations for this weekend and some woman paying in front of us spent a whopping $642.00!! Holy hell! And she acted like it was nothing! On party supplies!! Sunday, Kyle and I headed to the outlets because I was wanting to check out the Coach outlet since I had a 30% coupon. Well we got there right when they opened so the lines hadn't started yet and I found a purse I really liked. It was $129 out the door, and I also got a check book cover. I could have lived without it but hell, I got it anyways. Here are some pics...

Then we headed north about 30 minutes to hit a better mall. There we had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory which is always super yummy. We checked out the Apple store because Kyle was itching for the new iPhone but I somehow convinced him we didn't need them as our current iphone's work perfectly fine. I think he was a bit annoyed. I know it wont be long until he gets himself one... I bought some eye shadows at Bare Essentials since they were having a friends and family discount and I saved 20% on my total. I also got a yellow t-shirt at Abercrombie.

Sunday night we had dinner at a yummy Italian place with our friends Kristen and Brian. I definitely had a great Sunday. Here's to hoping the next two work days fly by!!

almost 5 o'clock!

Been watching the clock, waiting for it to strike 5! So over work today! I will be back tomorrow to update about my weekend, didn't have time to upload my pictures this morning. But I got a new coach purse that I love! Tonight will consist of making dinner, tanning, and watching Holly's World and the Bachelorette! Sounds like a perfect night to me!

My Mom

Last night since Kyle was working, I went over to my dads to hang out and visit. I was sitting at his computer when I noticed my moms old daily calendar book. I slowly reached for it as I knew it would make me a hot mess. And I was right. Just seeing her handwriting started the tears. My mom died of cancer in '99. The year of the calendar was from that year, and it killed me to see that she had written stuff down for future months and she never saw those things happen. She died 6 days after my 15th birthday. I ended up asking my dad some questions about when he knew she wasn't going to make it. He said she lived 5 years longer than the doctors had given her. She was determined to live. I still cant believe she is gone. I cant believe I have the rest of my life without her. I of course think of her everyday and miss her everyday but some days just kill me. Anyhow, it was nice to talk to my dad and learn some things I didn't know. He said she didn't know believe she was losing her battle until about a week before. She started to give away her clothes to her sisters and close friends, this I do remember. My heart aches thinking of her last week. She loved the Lord and she went in peace. I miss her so much.

HOME!

I feel so sick to my stomach. I hate this thing called a period. I have no appetite and I just want to be curled up in a ball in bed. One hour left of work...
This week hasn't been to exciting but so happy tomorrow is Friday. Monday, Kyle and I enjoyed a complimentary meal at Acapulco because the prior week we had the worst service ever. We waited like 20 minutes for a drink, over an hour for our appetizer that came out wrong, and then our food never came! The waitress said she had taken it off the bill so then I was like is it not coming?? And she said I didn't think you wanted it anymore... Ummm did I tell you we didn't want it?? So I wrote online to them about our horrific experience not wanting to go back for a long long time. But they called me wanting us to come in so we did. Of course the service wasn't bad because they were told to take good care of us. I still don't know how fast we will go back...
Tuesday we had our friends Megan and Trevor over for dinner, they are getting married in one month and Kyle is their DJ. I look forward to seeing them tie the knot! Wednesday we went and had Mexican food at our favorite place, and then to Target. I found a pair of shorts for $12 and a red tank for $6 that will be perfect for the 4th of July. Of course I got a few other random things. Tonight I'm going to try and get to the cleaners to get a new pair of Hudsons hemmed (scored those at the Rack for $100!) And we will probably get our tan on as we will be leaving in one week from today for Palm Springs. Kyle is DJing both Friday and Saturday so I will have a quiet weekend with my Frappy boy.

For now, I will just look forward to my trip next week. Here are some pictures of the resort.

Busy Monday

Since I was off work on Friday, I am crazy busy today catching up. It sure has made the day go by fast so I cant complain :) I had a great weekend at my sisters house, always great to spend time with those kids. I want them to know that no matter what happens in life, I will always be here for them. I feel so close to them as they are my sisters children, I would take them in a second if ever needed.

On the drive up I was dying for a Starbucks. I got off on an exit where it said there was one, but there wasn't... or I just couldn't find it. My GPS was seriously on crack! So when I finally found a Starbucks a bit later, I went all out. VENTI size. But of course I couldn't finish it lol.

Once I made it there, we drove into town and stopped at Sonic for a Strawberry Limeaid. Yummy. Then headed to Kohl's, Homegoods, and Panera for dinner. The bread there is delicious! Saturday we went over the the outlets but it was so busy all we did was get some things for the kids and have another Starbucks. I wanted a new Coach purse but the line was at least 50 deep so I said ill pass... for now... We came home and made chili for dinner and just hung out. I headed home on Sunday after church and made it in time to have dinner with my dad. We got him a hour massage gift certificate so I'm hoping he liked his gift! I would never be mad with that as a gift. Nothing to exciting this week... just gonna start tanning a little to get ready for Palm Springs for July 4th. Kyle is DJ'ing a yearly event out there and I cannot wait!! Here are some pictures from this past weekend...

Well today is my Friday whoohoo!! Tomorrow morning I am off to my sisters house near Monterrey and sadly have to drive all alone :( My younger sister was supposed to come with but now she is going to see one of her friends elsewhere. I wish the boy could come with but he has a wedding to DJ on Saturday and obviously cant miss that.

Last night we made chicken tacos for dinner and they were sooooo good! I have leftovers for lunch today :) I finally watched the Bachelorette from Mondays episode, are any of you watching? So happy the weatherman went home! That dude was scary/obsessed. I wasn't too keen on the guys in the beginning but now I think there are a couple guys who seem really genuine and special. We will see how it ends up... Here are my two favorite boys from the season as of now...

This is Chris... seems very genuine and has a good heart. He lost his mom recently and he just seems very grounded and true at heart.

I am going to miss Frappy sooooooo much this weekend. I will have him spend the night tonight but I will still be sad not seeing him all weekend. Here are some shots of the cutie.

Busy Monday!!

Ugh today has been sooooooooo busy!! I didn't even get 5 minutes to stalk any of your blogs hehe. Anyways, I am headed to Acapulco (the restaurant) for a blended margarita soon as 5pm hits!!

Saturday we hit up the Nordstrom Rack and I scored on a Juicy jacket and some cute tops. My guy is a DJ (weddings and private events) so this weekend kicked off the start of wedding season for him. Saturday night I had dinner with my friend Andrea at BJs and we of course shared a yummy pizookie! Sunday, Kyle and I had lunch with B&B and then I laid out at the pool with my sister while he had another wedding. Did any of you watch Holly's World last night?? I love her :)

So happy its Friday! And I am leaving work 3 hours early! Tonight Kyle and I are off to the Dodger game with our friends Amanda and Chad. I am a Red Sox fan but we are just going for fun :)
This weekend I don't have too much planned, hoping the sun is out and I can catch some rays! My only goal is to get my car washed and vacuumed! I think Sunday we are going to church and then lunch with our closest friends Brooke and Brian. Maybe my next post will be mostly pictures to show who these friends are I am talking about :)

Visit from Canada

My grandma and aunt from Canada just went home after a 10 day stay. I am so sad that they are gone. My grandma is 84 and I know the traveling isn't easy anymore. But she is still doing so well and it was such a treat to have that time with her. My older sister brought the kids down from northern California and we spent the weekend together. The highlights from her stay were going to Andreas for fish and chips, taking them to Olive Garden for lunch and a trip to Target and Marshalls. We also walked one day down at the beach with the dogs. The day before the had to go home, my dad brought them up to have lunch with me since I had to work. That was a special lunch I wont forget.

Day One

I have been reading different peoples blogs for months now and decided to start my own.... I dont know how entertaining it will be for others but I thought it would be a great memory reminder for me down the line.
