Sadly I am home under the weather today, so I am cuddled up in my warm bed taking naps with my Frappy.

First day the sun hasn't come out, was hoping for a free car wash but no rain yet...

I have been craving banana bread so I whipped some up. Nothing better than a warm slice with butter :)

This weekend I took a trip over the The Nordstrom Rack with my grandma and aunt, its hit or miss for me but I found a pair of grey converse's and some cool OPI polish.

Well I am off to the doctor, seeing a new lady today so hopefully she can figure something out for me.

Safe House...

I am not a huge movie person, but I really like Denzel and Ryan Reynolds so I was really looking forward to this movie. My reaction to it.... Holy SHI* Balls. It was such a good movie, kept me on edge and totally stressed out. The way it ended there will be another one for sure. First movie I have seen Ryan in that type of character, but he was really good in it. I also don't see movies normally more than once, but this I would see again.

When we were leaving, we noticed this car in the parking lot... just a few kids...

And lastly, its my Friday and payday!$! woohoo

I went to the Santa Barbara Zoo with my sisters, aunt, and kiddos yesterday. Talk about a small zoo!

We headed up early and saw the whole park in just over an hour.

This morning before the kids headed home, I brought them donuts and bribed them for a picture :)

Friday Finds

I happily spent the past two afternoons with my grandma and aunt who are visiting from Canada. I am cherishing every minute I have with them and storing these memories in my head to never forget.

On Wednesday I took them to pick up my dress and tried it on just in case my grandma doesn't make it back for the wedding. But she better! The dress had some loose strings/beading which I wasn't thrilled about, but obviously they are fixing it. I also found the perfect matching veil that my aunt generously got for me. 

With the dress store being next to Marshall's, we of course had to go :)

I had wanted to get this watering pail for my sister months ago but wasn't willing to pay $30, then I saw it a month ago for $20, and yesterday for $10. Score!

Happy Valentines Day to all my bloggin' girls!!

I am not one to wish for flowers, as I think they are WAY overpriced on this one day,  but I was surprised at work with a nice vase full today.

Last night I attempted making Raspberry Lemon bars thanks to Meg... They might not look to pretty but they were delish!!

A night away....

We were invited by some close friends to spend a night at their place in Pine Mountain Club on Saturday night. It was really nice to just get away and feel a little bit of winter. When we entered the town, we lost all cell service which was kind of nice to just "disconnect" for awhile. We headed to a pizza place for dinner, went to the little general store for some snacks, then headed to the cabin where we made smores and played games. The smores were so yummy!! 

We had a nice fire going but had to make these on the stove since we didn't have sticks to heat the marshmallows :)

In the morning we had breakfast before hitting the road.

Yes its late, but its still Friday where I'm at!

1.  I started my blog because I loved the idea of documenting my ups and down, good and bad. Now excited for all the wedding posts.

2.   One thing I love seeing on other blogs is anything wedding related, fun purchase finds, good things happening in your lives, and real life stories.

3.  Something I love about blogging  is getting emails with blog comments, it really makes my day.

4. A favorite blog post of mine is probably tough one!! So far, sharing my engagement was fun :)

  5. Something my friends in real life know about me that I've never before mentioned on my blog is   if I'm not working, I need a nap on all my days off! I can only shop for a short period of time, then I'm tired and need to rest. My boyfriend says im a baby.

7. Some things I tend to avoid doing on my blog are getting too personal, telling too much info about our lives :)

Rainy day

I am sitting here on the couch with my Frapster while I wait on hold for a Bank of America associate... Looks like I finally got some money back, just waiting for a little bit more... I am super happy with the bank that they caught the fraud so fast and shut down my account, it could have been a lot uglier.

Its a rainy day here in So Cal... it sure makes me lazy... hoping to get to my workout class later.

Yesterday was no joke, she had us in a serious boot camp setting.

Skimmers!

Know what a Skimmer is??

Its something that can make you broke in seconds...

On Thursday night I received a call from a blocked number, normally I would never answer those calls but for some reason I did. It was Bank of Americas fraud department asking if I was by chance traveling in NY. Ummm no... happily in warm Cali...

Well someone was having a ball with my checking account number jacking over a thousand dollars. F!ck

I slept like crap because I kept thinking how did this happen? Although as a sheriff dispatcher, I should have known better. This happens all day every day. My main thought of what happened is a gas station skimmer... this is a HUGE problem right now. This is what it looks like....

See at the top how it kinda bulges out where you stick your card in? Its a skimmer, copying your account number. It holds about 400 numbers, then the shithead comes back two days later and picks it up.

Thankfully on Tuesday I should have my money back, but I also found out my cute hello kitty card is no longer being made :(

Soooo... my advice to you?? Only pay cash at gas stations!!



Save the Dates

I was so excited when my sister told me there was a box at my dads for me, I knew right away my save the dates had arrived!

After looking at all sorts of options, we knew we wanted magnets but I was only willing to spend a certain amount. Wedding Paper Divas wanted almost $300 while Magnet Street was only about $150. 

Kinda blurry since I took the picture with my phone but you get the idea! 

Gotta finalize the guest list and start addressing the envelopes next week!

On another note, I went to the doctor today as I haven't been feeling to well. I ended up having more blood work done, if my doctor wasn't SO cute I would have ran outta there :) I am hoping to kick this anemia sooner than later.
