A bump on the Head

Well this weekend didn't quite go as planned.

I had been fighting a migraine since last Wednesday, it returned Thursday at work. Well we were battling some crazy fires here in So Cal, and being a dispatcher, it wasn't the best time for being sick. I wore sunglasses for 6 hours... then decided enough was enough and headed home.

Come Saturday, I work up with yet again, more pain in my head/eyes. I thought maybe a quick trip to Urgent Care was necessary. My husband sweetly reminded me that he had to be home by 12:30...

The Dr. working had no idea what my problem was. Migraine? Eye strain? I was just about to say forget it when she said were gonna give you a shot.
HOLD. THE. PHONE
No.
I don't do shots.
or
Needles.
She pretty much responded that I didn't have a choice...

As I cursed under my breath, I got a shot in my hip with immediate pain in my right cheek.
They disappeared. I immediately knew I was going to faint, crawled to the door, yelled out, and woke up having NO idea where I was. Sweet.
Put me in a chair, where I just faint again.

My husband looked pissed. It's 1:30. He is about to leave my ass there.
I somehow convince them I am fine and cry myself to the car. Mind you my right leg isn't really working.
I left there feeling 100 times worse.
Still having eye pain 30 hours later...
My cheek still hurts. I bit my tongue mid faint. Nice welt on my head.

Oh no! I have fainted before and it's awful! Once I did on the subway and it was super scary being all alone and experiencing that.

How scary! There's nothing worse than FINALLY dragging yourself to the doctor only to feel worse as a result of the visit. I deal with migraines too so I feel your pain! I hope it goes away soon.

Omg were you alone when you fainted? That happened to me once and I broke my nose! It's a big no no to leave someone after they get a shot! I hope everything is ok and you get to feeling better soon!
